4) At this point of time, our body requires less energy to maintain its new lower body weight. It has also adapted to the new lower energy (or calorie)intake and we will stop losing weight.

5) When protein and carbohydrates are already in our body are used as the energy source, our body will lose water weight. This is because both carbohydrates and protein hold water in the cells. As a result, we lose weight by dehydrating ourselves. 80% of the weight lost is water but not fat.

If we follow the advice from some weight loss diets… skipping our regular food to cut down on our calories intake, our body will start to store calories because it does not know when we will be eating again. The calories that are stored will be stored as fat. So bear in mind, when our body is storing energy, it is storing more fats.

These are the results when we skip our regular food and thus eating not

enough calories:
a) Dehydration
b) Slower fat burning
c) Muscle loss and
d) Our body adapts to a lower calorie intake.
