Fat Loss Tips You Must Know Before You Start Any Program

Finding fat loss tips is easy – but are they healthy? There are many different claims about why people are fat. Some will tell you if your arms are flabby you are simply out of shape. Others claim you can eat at fast food restaurants and still lose fat! With all the advice out there – how do we know what works and what doesn’t?

The best advice is to read everything and see what “resonates” with you. We are all born with different personalities and must work in different ways. Some like to exercise while others don’t have time. Many like to experiment with something different.

No matter which program might work for you, there are some rules that are common to all programs and work for most people. They are listed for you here.

Fat Loss Tip 1 – Check your thyroid. If this is low, it is way too easy to store fat and way too hard to lose it. A very low thyroid can be dangerous and cause serious health problems. So – be safe and get it checked.

Fat Loss Tip 2 – Exercise does work. There are many types of exercise out there but the following theories prevail throughout all fat loss programs.

You must do cardio exercise 30-40 minutes a day. During this time you should try to hit “peak” target heart rates while strengthening your muscles during your workout. This is generally done while lifting weights, stair stepping or even on an exercise bike.

Another newer concept of fat burning exercise is interval training. This is especially good for those who have less time to exercise. This type of workout is generally about 20 minutes long. During this time you alternate low to moderate intensity exercise with very short periods (30 to 60 seconds) of high intensity exercise. It can be done on an exercise bike, a treadmill, stair stepper, or even an exercise rebounder.

Fat Loss Tip 3 – Exercise first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This helps your body lose more fat. One reason this works is because during the night you are basically fasting for 8-12 hours. This will deplete your body’s stored glycogen. When your glycogen stores are low – your body burns more fat.

Both of the above exercise fat loss tips are used by fitness experts and body builders. These are the people to use as role models for your most effective fat loss.

Fat Loss Tip 4 – Eat 5 small servings of protein throughout the day. The best proteins to lose fat include fresh, organic eggs, lean beef, skinless chicken, yogurt, tuna, salmon, and turkey.

Fat Loss Tip 5 – Eat less starch. This includes breads and pastas. The extra proteins make up for the calories so you don’t lose muscle.

Fat Loss Tip 6 – Eat healthy fats. Healthy fats actually increase thermogenesis (fat burning ability), help increase muscle, keep your mood elevated and even wards off degenerative disease! Including fish into your diet will provide Omega 3′s and 6′s, which are healthy fats. Other foods include avocadoes, olive oil, flax seeds, and walnuts.

Taking a “essential fatty acid” supplement will also help your fat burning abilities. This might be a good option for those who avoid fish because of allergies.

There are many diets and other ways to exercise to lose fat for good. Read as many as you can, put the pieces together and you will find what works for you.

Here are some flat abs diet and exercise rules to follow while trying to lose weight. Don’t expect to see any mention of crunches (yawn), jogging on a treadmill (zzz), or drinking a lot of water (pfft). I got better and more fun things for you instead.


1. Spin around in a circle like a 4-yeah old child

Sound like fun? Better than jogging or doing crunches… you bet! What you do is spin clockwise with your arms out like airplane wings. Do this for 10-20 spins. Make sure to stop when you are slightly dizzy… not extremely dizzy.

This is great for weight loss and getting flat abs because it stimulates your Endocrine System to balance out your hormones. So if you suspect you have hormonal problems, spinning will fix that. Once your hormones are back to normal, you’re weight should drop almost effortlessly.

2. Jump on a mini-trampoline

This has become probably my favorite exercise to do since I pretty much avoid going to the gym these days. A mini-trampoline is cheap, about $25. This allows me to exercise without having to devote a block of time for it. Very efficient and productive.

3. Eat eggs for breakfast

Eggs are just about the perfect breakfast choice. High in protein and low in carbs, they’ll fill you up and help prevent cravings later in the day. A key to weight loss is starting your day off right so you don’t have to play calorie catch-up the rest of the day. I normally eat 3-4 scrambled eggs with a half can of black beans.

4. Snack on red grapes

Grapes are an awesome snack since it’s like you’re eating water… because grapes have such a high water content. They fill you up and give you energy. What more can you ask for from a food?

So to help you lose weight and get flat abs, just follow those 4 diet and exercise rules.

Stomach Fat Loss – Dream Or Reality – You Be The Judge!

Everyone wants a flat stomach. Those unsightly rolls of fat certainly don’t assist when you are trying to impress the opposite sex on the beach. They are also unhealthy and can cause problems for you in later life. So whether you are interested in stomach fat loss purely for vanity or you just want to stay healthy into old age, then read on.

Let´s Get Started

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to get a firm flat stomach is to do heaps of exercises like situps and various other torturous regimes, in the false hope that they will get a six pack stomach. The reality is somewhat different, because what happens is that…yes, your abs will get stronger and you may well have a six pack, but nobody is going to see them because they are buried under all those rolls of fat!

Yes, you guessed it, you need to burn of the fat first and then, only then, after working on your exercises and your nutritional plan, will you be able to display that enviable flat stomach.  I know, I know! It hurts to think about having to plan this regime properly, but has anything worked up until now….if it had, you wouldn’t be reading this!

Ok! What Do We Do Now?

First you need to put a realistic, doable fitness and diet plan into place that you will be motivated to follow without fail. Nobody is going to castigate you for not sticking to the plan, but at the end of the day, if you don´t do it, the only losers are going to be you and your little (or big!) fat attachments!

The Dreaded Exercise

Your exercise regime does not need to be ridiculously hard. This is not a torture plan, you should enjoy the exercise and on this basis, 3 times a week is more than enough. Time spent exercising should be between 30mins to 1 hour.

Exercises should be of the aerobic variety, to burn those calories off. You can save the Arnold Schwarzenegger exercises for later when you really feel ready for the burn!. The exercises can be things such as using the treadmill or the bicycle…they just need to make your body burn calories.

Remember to talk with the coach at the gym before you begin, to ask them to design a set of exercises to suit your needs.  These exercises should not overstress your body, but at the same time should not be so easy that they have no effect. Review this plan on a regular basis with the coach at the gym, to ensure your success.

On the days when you are not exercising, try going for a gentle walk for 20 or 30 minutes, or play some football with your kids….anything just to keep the ball rolling (no pun intended!). What you will then find is that your body will become accustomed to activity every day and you will feel like a different person after a relatively short period of using this plan.

Now For the Food Part

Next you need to consider the food part! You need to bear in mind that the fat didn´t find its way onto your stomach all on its own. It had some help….well actually, a lot of help….from yours truly…you know what I mean…too much beer, fat, rich foods etc etc!

You need to educate yourself with healthy eating habits or that stomach fat loss just isn´t going to happen. It isn´t difficult, if you use a bit of common sense…steer clear of those Big Macs and all that greasy food, Eat fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and homemade food whenever possible. The results of a good diet plan, together with your exercise regime should be nothing less than dramatic, so long as you stick to the plan!  To make it easier for you, I have also included a link to a great resource which will show you exactly how to achieve effective stomach fat loss through proper nutrition.
